I had a wonderful Christmas. On Christmas Eve we (my family) had a little Christmas program, we sang songs and read the Nativity and then we had a testimony meeting, everyone shared their testimonies, it will be a memory I will always cherish. I loved the Testimony part of the program because it truly brought the spirit into the room and I truly understood the true meaning of Christmas which is about Christ our Savior. It was a very spiritual night.
We have a tradition of sleeping in the same room on Christmas eve you know so no one will sneak a peak in the middle of the night at what Santa brought:) ON Christmas morning we read "A Christmas Orange Story" it is a sweet story about a girl who goes to a new orphanage around Christmas time, all of the girls tell her about a beautiful Christmas tree which appears in the middle of the night on the 24 of Dec., so this little girl decides to take a peak at the tree that night but she gets caught by the master of the Orphanage and is sent to her room with the knowledge that she will not be getting her only Christmas gift which is a Christmas orange, she cries herself to sleep that night, in the morning she didn't go down to breakfast because it would hurt her seeing all of the other girls getting their Oranges when she would receive none. After Breakfast the other girls come into the room where she sat crying one of the girls was caring a napkin which she gave to the crying girl, the girl opened the napkin and to her surprise there was a whole orange all pealed and sectioned, what happened was that each girl took a section of her own orange and made a whole orange for the girl who sat crying in her room. I love that story
I love this part of our Christmas tradition because it makes you realize Christmas isn't about the presents you receive but it is about the love which we share. While we read this story we each get a section of a chocolate orange and that is our first gift we get on Christmas day.
Here I am giving everyone a section of the Chocolate Orange
After We read the Story we all line up to go see what Santa brought everyone of course the youngest gets to go first who would be me:) lol
Here we are all lined up
Here we are handing out all of the presents to the right people
That was my Christmas as you saw:) I hope I didn't bore you:)
